Electric car for longer distances: what should you prepare for?

The readiness of an electric car depends on several factors. Although the times when we had to worry about relatively short distances (~200-250 km) are behind us, it is still important to prepare in advance for longer journeys. If you are planning a longer trip with your electric car, our article will provide you with some tips for preparation!
Ranges and Types of Electric Cars
But what determines how many kilometers you can drive in an electric car? It depends on the range and its designation. There are three standards that apply: the EPA, the WLTP, and the NEDC. The EPA corresponds to the American standard, and in this value, you can be the most confident.
The WLTP is the European standard, which is only realistic under ideal conditions (good weather, more comfortable urban pace). So, for example, if you were to go somewhere in winter, and your electric car's range is marked as WLTP 250 km, you need to multiply this value by 0.6 to get the real value. The NEDC, on the other hand, is the oldest standard, whose values are completely unrealistic.

A biztonságos utazáshoz fontos, hogy ez 20-80% között maradjon; az aksi élettartamához pedig, hogy lehetőleg ne töltsd fel 100%-ra. Ehhez az útvonaltervező appok segítségét is hasznos igénybe venni.
A töltőállomások sűrűségéről
Ez országonként változik, ezért ellenőrizd, mielőtt elindulsz! Hollandiában és Norvégiában például két állomás közt maximum 120 km-es távolság van, de délen kedvezőtlenebb a helyzet.
